GitButler agent-trace donation box

A GitButler CLI debugging tool. Donated traces are mined for patterns where coding agents struggle with the but CLI, and are used to discover new benchmark scenarios for vcbench.dev — improving the CLI's agentic performance.

Paste this page's URL into an agent chat and say "donate my traces", or run:

Add --dry-run to see a summary of what would be shared without uploading anything, or --dry-run -v to list every file. To donate one specific transcript instead of scanning the machine, pass its path:

What gets collected

Transcripts from any coding agent on the machine (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Pi, opencode, Gemini, Amp) — but only sessions that actually invoked the but CLI.
Obvious secrets (API keys, tokens, private keys, credentials) are masked before upload.
The OS username and hostname are attached as metadata; duplicates are skipped server-side.
Donated data is stored privately and visible only to GitButler staff — it is never published or shared outside the team.
No account, no management, no take-backs: this is a one-way donation to the GitButler team.
